St. Joseph has long been called upon to help us with our many good petitions, and should not be used for superstitious purposes. This kit goes a long way toward explaining the Catholic belief in, and importance of, the saints in our Church. The enclosed printed material is very clear about the seriousness of this not being used as a superstitious act, but as a way of petitioning St. Joseph. It cautions against all the various rituals regarding how the statue may be buried, and emphasizes that, with any petition, it is God's Will that ultimately prevails. The explanation also tells us that the burial of the statue is an "outward sign" of our trust in St. Joseph as a powerful intercessor for us, and that the petition should also include other family needs as well. You'll also find that the information references Divine Favors Granted to St. Joseph for more detail regarding St. Joseph's role as our intercessor. With any Catholic tradition, if the intention is not sincere in the way that our Faith teaches, then it becomes superstition. Beyond the obvious purpose of the kit, we believe there is the opportunity for one to become more familiar with the role of St. Joseph, and the saints in general, in our Church. The St. Joseph home kit did not come with everything it said it would. We received the St. Joseph figurine, however there was no prayer to St. Joseph or instructions so overall I am not happy with my purchase.

I purchased this product and put my faith into St. Joseph to sell our home and feel good about our future. I buried the statue on a Sat, and had two showings later that day. I read all the literature that accompanied the statue too and felt much better about not just what I was doing with the statue, but in selling our house in general and what it would do for us in the long run. The next day I had a second showing from the buyers from the day before. We had a contract by the end of that week. Unfortunately the buyers backed out of the contract, however, I feel as though I have more peace knowing it will all work out for the best in the end, I have complete faith in St. Joseph that when the time is right, it will happen!

The kit has everything you need. The statue is little- but that is all you need. The instructions were clear and explained the intent. I have not put him to use yet as I am still looking for a new home. I am ready when I put this house on the market.
